If you are a fan of adrenaline sports, then your holiday in Liptov cannot be done without a visit to the mountain bobsleigh track in FUN PARK Žiarka. The bobsled track is situated in the popular Demänovská valley, specifically in the Liptov village of Pavčina Lehota. Because accommodation in Slovakia is so popular in this picturesque area, every year this attraction gains new fans among adults and children. It is not only the first track built in the Liptov region, but also the first track of this type in Slovakia. The total length of the track is 1000 m and it is the steepest track in our territory, with a total elevation of 120 meters. The maximum speed that can be reached is limited to 45 km / h. You can determine whether you reach it by simply moving the lever towards you (braking) or away from you (accelerating). The reason why the bobsleigh track in FUN PARK Žiarka is proud of its uniqueness is that the beans in which you are firmly attached are lowered on a single aluminum tube at a height of approximately one meter above the ground. You don't have to worry at all, the bobsled ride is safe and can be done by children from 7 years of age. If you have a child who has not yet reached the age of seven, it is possible to go in one bomb together but only up to the maximum allowed weight of 120 kg. There are a total of 16 curves on the track. The high attractiveness of the bobsled track is completed by 2 ramps, through which the track passes and, last but not least, 6 off-road jumps. The bobsleigh track and all its accessories are from the Austrian manufacturer BRANDAUER.

Passing through the region of Liptov, from Liptovský Mikuláš to Ružomberok, one must notice a huge water area of the dam Liptovská Mara. It is the largest water reservoir in Slovakia in terms of the confined water volume.

On the right side of the valley Demänovská dolina below the northern slopes of the mountains Nízke Tatry is another cave open to public - Demänovská ľadová jaskyňa.

The village of Bešeňová is one of the few precious places with occurrence of "freshwater" limestone, so-called travertine. These precious calcite forms arised thanks to mineral contents of water, its temperature and, of course, the surface and structure of the landscape. If you have some free time, come and visit this "forsaken" pit situated to the north of the village.

The house, which was originally built as a sign of frustration with bureaucracy, soon turned into a popular tourist attraction. The building is located near Liptovský Mikuláš near the aqua park and is of course fully furnished. The equipment itself is mounted above your heads. Part of the interior is e.g. kitchen, toilet or tables. Especially children will enjoy the children's room with non-traditional inhabitants: Snow White, Dwarves, Red Cap and Wolf, Mickey Mouse… and since the house is also inclined on two planes, after a while you will get really dizzy! You will not find a similar attraction in Slovakia, so be sure to stop here on the way to the aquapark with children!

The exhibition part contains various scenery. The dominant feature is a 15 meter long table with LEGO WORLD, a 9 meter showcase with LEGO track and many smaller themed showcases. Unique BETHLEHEM and Jerusalem built according to the model from the Israel Museum. We currently have one of the longest tracks in Slovakia with running trains. Here you can admire moving trains and carousels, learn about the stories of our characters and play as a searcher.

The building that houses the museum is one of the most distinctive buildings of the square in the town of Liptovský Mikuláš. It has several names - the County House (Stoličný House), the Illešházy Manor House and the Seliga's House. It features a triple arch that is unusual for the town and stands out from the rest of the buildings on the square's western side.

Historic building on the site of a former coaching inn, mentioned in the 17th century. In addition to the primary function of a hotel and restaurant facility, which was partially preserved until the 1970s (the name of the company originated after 1850), the Black Eagle also served as a center of cultural life, whose significance exceeded the borders of Liptovský Mikuláš. In 1830, the history of Slovak amateur theater began to be written here, later several associations were housed in its building, including the cultural and reading association "Větín". During the May Day demonstration in 1918, the first public document by which the Slovak nation openly subscribed to the right to self-determination and to the idea of ​​Czech-Slovak reciprocity was heard in front of its participants gathered in the courtyard of the Black Eagle. At present, the building houses a unique exhibition from the history of hunting, hunting and fishing in Liptov, and numerous cultural and educational events take place here.
