Gallery of Masks is the first gallery in Slovakia, from the collector M.D. Clark, where you will find more than 400 masks from around the world.
Visit a unique collection of masks from around the world. In the gallery you will find up to 5,000 years old mask from Egypt, which was used during mummification and depicts the deceased or only 5 years old mask made by London designer Hitek for dancers Lady GAGA in the video clip GUY (2013), but also masks from Sri Lanka representing 18 diseases of the world .
Take a look at the so-called Lišovská room. The hut, a small ethnographic museum. Dwellings with original equipment and original costumes that will transport you to the period of the 19th century. See Celtic dwellings built by students from different European countries and showcase traditional skills and work with natural materials.
The museum also has a small shop with products from local manufacturers.

A unique, although not very long canyon-like valley called the Carpenter's Gorge lies in the cadastre of the village of Hontianske Tesáre, in the southern part of the Krupina district. The valley was formed by cutting a local watercourse over rocks of volcanic origin. Sedimentation - sedimentation and stratification of rocks - is clearly visible on the local rock walls.
Arboretum Kysihýbel in the administrative territory of Banská Štiavnica (central Slovakian town inscribed in the List of the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage) is the unique experimental forestry area specialized in rapidly growing exotic wood species.
In the village of Banský Studenec there are two lakes lying next to each other - the so-called Kolpašské. These are artificial tanks - tajchy - which were built for the needs of mining. They are currently used for fishing (especially the smaller ones), but also for summer recreation (especially the larger ones). Although the lakes are also called Studenské (after the village of Banský Studenec), they belong to the warmest secrets of Banská Štiavnica. The water in them is controlled, of sufficient quality for bathing. There are changing cabins on the shores of Lake Kolpaš. However, facilities providing services to holidaymakers are not here. The location will be appreciated especially by visitors looking for quiet, little visited natural swimming pools.

Inštitúcia bola založená v Šahách v roku 1902 ako župné múzeum. Jej vznik iniciovala Hontiansko-župná múzejná spoločnosť na čele s Elemérom Pongráczom. Múzeum zaniklo v dôsledku zmien administratívneho členenia krajiny v roku 1924. Posledným kurátorom bol prvý uhorský olympionik Alajos Szokolyi. Znovuzaloženie inštitúcie ako mestského múzea sa udialo v roku 1992. Od roku 1995 funguje v dvoch budovách- na adrese J. Rotaridesa 13 (Hontianske múzeum) a na adrese Pivničná 1 ( Galéria Ľudovíta Simonyiho, predtým Hontianska galéria).

The fort Bzovík in the south of central Slovakia next to more northerly situated village of Bzovík is another mute witness of local history.
Sitno, the tallest mountain of the Štiavnické vrchy Mts., (1,009 m), dominates the south-western horizon of Banská Štiavnica and offers a fabulous view. Three faces of the mountain are steep, almost inaccessible, and on the fourth side the Castle of Sitno, or better said its ruins, stand. It was built in the 13th century on the site of a primeval fortified castle. It is in ruins since the 18th century.
The Castle is the most important dominant of the town Levice. It is from the end of the 13th century. It stands on top of volcanic rock protuberance above the swamps of the Hron river. It was the sentry fort guarding the road leading to central Slovakian mining towns.
