Themed cycling route Vlkolínec - Pribylina
The longest cycling educational trail in Slovakia, connecting the whole Liptov with the largest cultural monuments. Vlkolínec – Ružomeberok – Liptovská Štiavnica – Partizánska Ľupča – Lazisko – Pavčina Lehota – Závažná Poruba – Liptovský Ján – Liptovský Hrádok – Liptovský Peter – Podbanské
The trail begins in the historic UNESCO monument - the village of Vlkolínec, whose visit is clearly recommended. At the entrance to the village there is a crossroads of cycling routes. The educational trail continues along the edge of the village and leads along the field road to Ružomberok. It travels through the city and crosses the busy road, but there is a passage and a good walk, but be careful about marking. Behind Ružomberok, the route runs along the field paths through the villages of Liptovská Štiavnica and Liptovské Sliače up to the village of Partizánska Ľupča. Here in the center of the village, near the majestic church, we come to the crossroads of cycling trails. The route continues together with two cycling routes - Liptovská and Vrchárska. All the way to Partizánska Ľupča, where the Vrchská biking trail turns right, we continue to the left and the trail leads through the terrain underneath the Nízke Tatry. In the village of Lazisko there is a crossroads with a blue cycling trail and here we recommend a short turn to the wooden articular church in Svätý Kríž. It is the largest wooden church in Central Europe. Right behind Lazisko, the route rises to the small Pavčina Lehota lookout tower, from where there is a nice view of the Low Tatras and the lower Liptov. From the observation tower, we descend through Pavčina Lehota to the beginning of the Demänovská Valley. Here the route passes through the Bystrina campsite and through the field paths with nice views passes through the villages of Ploštín, Iľanovo to Závažná Poruba, where it turns right and passes the Hrádok hill, where there are two short cycle routes with nice trail sections. Then we descend to Liptovsky Jan and turn to the left at the cycling trail and the trail goes around a unique natural swimming pool where it can be perfectly cooled especially during hot summer days.Hrádek and finally divides it with the Liptov cycling route. The route leads along the dam of the Belá River, passing through the footbridge at the end of the town, a short turn to the Castle and the Liptovský Hrádok Castle. The route continues through field paths through Liptovský Peter to Vavrišov. On the route there is a lookout tower from which you can enjoy beautiful views of the Tatras and the surrounding area. From Vavrišov, the cycling trail leads us to Pribylina, passes through the village and ends at the entrance to the Liptov Village Museum.
