Author's exhibition of works of art by geologist, national park ranger and amateur artist František Miháľ. The author is a member of the speleological club Slovenský raj, a member of the Club of Amateur Artists and the international organization ISSA (International Society for Speleological Art). He exhibited his works in Australia, France, USA, Switzerland and Brazil and in cultural institutions in Slovakia. The beginnings of his work meant mainly oil painting, while he often created paintings in the open air. The gradual intermingling of two hobbies – caving and painting – resulted in the first artistic works from the cave environment. He mainly uses pastel, oil, acrylic or watercolor in his work.
Nature is the main content of the author's work and therefore it is also the main theme in his paintings.
The exhibition is available in the premises of the Podtatranský museum in Poprad at Vajanského 72/4 in Poprad, on the second floor above ground.
The entrance fee is included in the price of the museum ticket: €4.00/adult; €2.00/children, pupils, students, disabled; children under six free.
