Thermal Swimming Pool Komárno
The town of Komárno, which lies on the banks of the Danube on the border with Hungary, and its surroundings are full of historic monuments and attractions. The Komárno Thermal Swimming-pool lies in the centre of the town and is packed full of water attractions and opportunities for having fun and relaxing.
The thermal swimming-pool in Komárno has two active thermal springs with a water temperature of 37 °C. The first bubbles up from a depth of 1224 m. These mineral waters have healing effects on joints, rheumatic and gynaecological illnesses and are also suitable for leisure purposes.
The summer part of the thermal swimming-pool has a pool for swimming and teaching, a non-swimmers' pool, a children's pool and a thermal pool for sitting down and relaxing. The grounds include a beach area, a beach volleyball court, table tennis tables and a children's climbing frame. Children will like the Elephant-slide by the children's pool and the screen around the outdoor sitting pools with thermal water.
The sitting pool with a movable roof structure (for resting and relaxing) can be used all year round with attractions such as air beds, a stainless steel waterless and intensive hydro-massage with aspirated air. There is also a Finnish sauna with a cooling pool and further areas which offer extra services such as massages, manicure and pedicure, dental work and fast-food stalls.
Cultural and historical monuments which are worth visiting in Komárno include Komárno Fort and the Square of Europe in the very town centre, or the nearby Číčov Oxbow Lake National Nature Reserve, the water mill and wooden bridge in Kolárovo, the Roman military camp in Iža, the Slovak Central Observatory in Hurbanovo and the manor house in Palárikovo.

The Fortress Komárno
