Enjoy a pleasant walk or cycling in a quiet place and enjoy the views from the wooden Lookout Tower Pustý vrch, from which you can enjoy views of unspoiled nature in the embrace of Veporské vrchy. The wooden, eleven meter high lookout tower is located on the top of the eponymous Pustý vrch above parts of the villages of Komov and Pusté, on the route of the Čiernohronská railway from Čierny Balog to Dobroč.
There are 6 routes leading to the lookout tower, which are marked by signposts in the village. The views from the lookout tower can also be enjoyed by cyclists, who will get to the lookout tower along the route from the Komov, Látky locality. The lookout tower has two viewpoints, at a height of 3 and 6 meters, from which you can enjoy views of the wide-spread village of Čierny Balog and the surrounding, peaceful, breathing nature. Not far from the lookout tower is a rock, which was the place of games of many generations of locals. This place was very close to the heart of the Slovak novelist Ladislav Ťažký, who was born and raised under Pustý vrch near Komov and for whom the rock on Pusto vrch was the "rock of childhood".
