Museum of Mining and Metallurgy Maša
The Maša Liptovský Hrádok Museum of Mining and Metallurgy brings together the historical buildings Vážnica and Klopačka, which document the traditions of Hornoliptov mining and metallurgy. These were preserved in active form until the second half of the 19th century. In the premises of Klopačka there is a gallery of selected reproductions of old mining woodcuts from the work of Juraj Agricola. The work "De re metallica libri XII" illustrates the development of mining after the 16th century with technological elements and mining procedures typical of the Liptov region. In Vážnice there is an exposition of the history of mining and metallurgy in Liptov, complemented by the clothes of a miner, a collection of mining lamps and working tools. The Maša Liptovský Hrádok Museum of Mining and Metallurgy presents the history of metal mining and processing in the form of two-dimensional panels with a text part and rich illustrative material. It was mined in the Bocianská and Ľupčianská valleys and in Magurka. Also in the area of Liptovský Hrádok, Kriváň, Western Tatras and Čierny Váh. And also in the central part of the Low Tatras and the area of Dúbrava and Liptovský Kľačany. It will also describe the history of Dolnoliptov mining and metallurgy in the Revúcká valley, in the vicinity of Biele Potok, Liptovská Lúžná, Korytnice and in the Bystrô valley.
