Táto lokalita sa stala natoľko známou, že patrí medzi hlavné ťaháky turizmu na Muránskej planine a určite patrí k najviac navštevovaným miestam. Možnosť vidieť sysľa vo voľnej prírode naozaj z bezprostrednej blízkosti je pri prirodzenej plachosti týchto hlodavcov naozaj výnimočným zážitkom.

Prírodná vyhliadka Poludnica je veľkolepý skalný útes a súčasne aj národná prírodná rezervácia, ktorá sa rozprestiera pod ním. Tento bralnatý útes vyčnieva z hustého lesa blízko niekdajšej horárne Maretkiná. Ide o najznámejšiu a najpôsobivejšiu vyhliadku v NP Muránska planina.
